The Glyndwr's Way tour walks through some of Wales' most spectacular landscapes full of wildlife and heritage and The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Steam Railway is on route, one of Wales' great little steam railways.
Glyndwr was proclaimed Prince of Wales in 1401. His army and guerrilla forces
fought against English domination, a battle for Welsh independence which
continues in a less violent form until this day. Glyndwr's Way remembers
this folk hero's contribution to the Welsh nation. Machynlleth, where he
established his parliament, is one of several sites en route linked to his
life and work.
